Penny Thacher

  

Penny Thacher is a Mount Carroll native, Shimer College graduate, and former elementary teacher. A strong passion for nature is evident in her photography. Her subjects range from the microcosm of her own backyard to rural vistas and wildlife along the Mississippi. She doesn't remember being without a camera since she took her mother's Brownie to camp at age 10.
