Carla Whitebrea
Carla (Hitz) Whitebread grew up in Mt. Carroll and attended MtC HS. After graduation she attend Illinois State University where she received a bachelor's of Arts in Spanish Literature and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. Carla was a Transportation Officer and completed flight training in Ft. Rucker, AL in a UH-1H (Huey) helicopter and an aviation maintenance course. She remained on active duty for four years, three of which were spent living in Mainz, Germarny. She then completed 16 years in the Illinois Army National Guard, flying out of Peoria, IL. After retiring from the military Carla became a Spanish teacher for the MtC High School, West Carroll High School, and Pearl City High Sch
