Get a Library Card


Adults wishing to register for a borrower's card, renew an expired card, or replace a lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed card at the Mount Carroll Township Public Library are required to show two forms of identifications.  One form must be a picture ID bearing their name.  The other form includes, but is not limited to, utility bills or mail displaying a recent postmark.  If the address on the picture ID and mail do not agree then 2 pieces of mail may be required.

Children under the age of 18 must have a guardian's signiture on initial application for a library card.  The application must be completed by the adult at the Library.  Children under the age of 18 may use the proof of residency provided by the guardian.  Children 18 and over may choose to provide their own proff of residency, or use that of their guardian.
