Mt. Carroll Township Public Library Knitting Club

The Mt. Carroll Township Public Library is forming a Knitting Club!
Starting September 19, 2013!
Every Third Thursday from 6 to 7 pm at the library.
Bring what you are working on. Snacks will be provided.

Her-Story: The Hands Project

"Her-Story: The Hands Project" Photographs by Award-Winning Photographer, Elizabeth Chambers of Mt. Carroll is now on display at the Mt. Carroll Township Public Library. (July – August 2013)

"The Hands Project" is a photographic compilation of women’s stories through their hands. “Through this project, I wanted to spread awareness of the struggles, joys, triumphs and passions that are unique to women,” Elizabeth shares. "Her-Story" is the birth of "The Hands Project", which will continue to develop to tell the stories of people across the world, through photographing their hands.

Breakfast Book Club

 

The Mt. Carroll Township Public Library has started another new book club.

Our Breakfast Book Club is now meeting the last Wed. morning of every month at 10:00 am.

Barnes and Noble comes out with a Nook app

For those of you patrons who have a Barnes and Noble Nook Tablet, there is great news!

Barnes and Noble has released a Nook app that you can download to make OMNI LIBRARIES checkout easier.

The Mt. Carroll Township Public Library has received a grant from the Illinois State Library to assist you.

Teen Advisory Board

The Mt. Carroll Township Public Library is proud to announce the newest members of our Teen Advisory Board:

Tom Watson Jr., Natalie Comeau, Joel Ricketts, Darby Rumler and Quinn Rumler.

Teen Board members will assist in children and teen programming, give input on popular book selections and other issues pertinent to teens.

 

 

 

'Shake It up Tot Tales'

Come join us for Tot Tales, a story time for toddlers through Kindergarten age children.

We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month  ( Sept - May) from 10:00 - 10:30 am.

"Friends" Book Shelf Quilt

Book Shelf Quilt

The Friends of the Library have compled the work on the Book Shelf Quilt that is hanging in the library.  Patrons have the unique opportunity to have their name or a loved one’s name inscribed on a book within the quilt. The quilt  will also reflect events and activities of the Friends of the Mount Carroll Township Library commemorating their past, present and future fund raising efforts. This will be something that can be cherished for years to come.
