Opioid Overdose Prevention Program

PURPOSE: to reduce the number of prescription drug and opioid-related deaths.
FOR: treatment providers, law enforcement, EMS, educators, social workers, families and individuals who prescribe or experience opioid misuse
INFORMATION PROVIDED: Definition and effects of opioids; scope of problem; who is at risk; reducing risk of overdose; essentials for first responders; storage of Naloxone; Good Samaritan law; medication-assisted treatment

The training lasts no longer than 1 hour; those who attend the entire program may receive free Naloxone.
