GARDENING FOR KIDS: A Program for creating a Library Garden
Ages 3 and UP

Saturday, March 19 11 am “How Seeds Grow” by Master Gardener Nancy Gmitro
Saturday, April 9 11 am Planting seeds indoors for transplanting outside
Saturday, April 30 11 am Transplanting vegetables and flowers into raised beds and hanging pots on the library grounds
Saturday, May 14 11 am TBA

Throughout the summer children can stop by to water and pick vegetables. We will also offer ideas and recipes for preparing what we grow. There is no charge for this program, and children may attend any or all sessions. A Mount Carroll library card is not necessary.

The Friends of the Library have generously donated the raised beds.
The Home Community Extension has kindly provided bags of soil.
