Are you headstrong about keeping your head strong? Challenging the brain, especially as you grow older can be beneficial. Many of us enjoy working on puzzles and games that require us to think and stretch our minds. Come join us as we get together to learn about memory and
aging and explore several exercise strategies to enhance thinking.

This program will feature paleontologist Dr. Robin Whatley, Associate Professor in the Science and Mathematics Department at Chicago’s Columbia College.

Residents who have fossils and interesting geological specimens in their possession are encouraged to bring them to the program for a “show and tell”

Following the introductory program, Dr. Whatley will then lead an informal “fossil” hunt and walk in Point Rock Park to look at the fossil record of ancient animals and environments that can be seen in the park’s limestone rock faces.

For information and to sign up for the geology program, call the Mount Carroll District Library at 815-244-1751 This program is open to all ages.
